We value people, meaningful labor, and we value helping others. New Vision has been blessed and we want to be a blessing to others. That’s why we go. From Dec. 3-8, 2010 we, along with The Compass Church, sent our own Tom Ezell (former Correctional and ER nurse) to join a team of doctors, nurses, and business professionals from Omaha, NE to Bamako, Mali, Africa. Their team taught Christian business principles to the leaders of Sababu Conscious Clothing, www.sababuclothing.com, and provided health screenings/physicals to the employees and their families. As you can see in the video, many lives were touched as some Malians saw a doctor and nurse for the first time in their lives. As always, the bigger blessing is received by those who gave. Thank you to our valued customers who help make this happen. You play a vital role in changing lives all around the world!
August 5-12, 2010 - Tom Ezell leads team of 8 to Leogane, Haiti
With a team of 7 others, we travelled to Leogane, Haiti, epicenter of the 7.0 magnitude January 12, 2010 earthquake that destroyed nearly 90% of the buildings. Before the earthquake Leogane had a population of 134,000, the military estimated that 20,000-30,000 people died from the earthquake. Immediately after the quake, the Arkansas State Baptist Convention began a relationship with Haiti and sends teams throughout the year reaching out to the spiritual and physical needs to the people. For more info, visit http://www.absc.org/haiti. Thank you to The Compass Church in Batesville, AR, New Vision Graphics, and everyone who prayed for and supported us. The video is just a small glimpse of the destruction and devastation left behind from the earthquake.
